Birdy was fired in a raku kiln in a blaze of fire, sawdust and smoke. The momentary absence of oxygen gave him this beautiful shimmery palette of greens with a touch of copper lustre in places. The actual colours are hard to capture on camera and rather elusive. The new owner will be the first to admire this piece for what it really is.
